Our new Contemporary Dance class is a fun way for your children to learn a new form of artistic expression through movement. They will learn different fundamental techniques that will incorporate the structured footwork of ballet combined with the fluid improvisations of modern dance. Our unique Korean Pop will be a formal introduction and training to the growing world of K-pop dance. K-pop incorporates highly synchronized movement often derived and inspired from modern dance, hip-hop, and many social dances.

is a LA native and began her dance journey when she was 8, taking hip-hop classes. Through her education at Santa Monica College, she soon fortified her dance training with ballet and modern. Performing in both Synapse and Global Motion dance companies since 2014, she learned and adapted a variety of dance including contemporary, house, African, traditional Asian and Polynesian styles. She has also competed and trained with numerous well-known LA hip-hop companies such as VMO, Groove, and the Kinjaz. She is currently a lead instructor with the SMC Dance Academy, teaching musical theater and world dances to the 4th and 5th graders of the Santa Monica Unified School District as well as a principal dancer for the Sri Susilowati Dance Company. Sandra is thrilled to teach and share her love of dance at the Santa Monica Conservatory.
